Ord 230735: Residential Density in NCD Zones

Updated: Oct 16, 2024

UPDATE: This ordinance is under review. The Planning Commission recommended approval with modifications on 11-9-23. No action has been taken since Planning Commission recommendations were received. Supervisor Safai requested this matter remain active until 1-19-25.

Ordinance 230735 was introduced on 6-13-23 by Supervisor Safai.

This legislation would change density requirements in NC districts to form-based density rather than by units per sf of lot area. If passed, density would only be limited by height, bulk, setbacks, open space, exposure, and unit mix requirements. It's believed this will increase density in these districts.
