APPROVED: Zoning Controls: Adult Sex Venues

UPDATE: This legislation was approved on 5-13-22 and went into effect 6-12-22.

Ordinance 220264 was introduced on 3-15-22 by Supervisor Mandelman.

This Ordinance:

1. Defines Adult Sex Venues (ASV's) in the Planning Code as a type of retail sales and service use. Uses may include bathhouse facilities and may be eligible for limited live performance permits.

2. Permits 24:7 operations where principally permitted. Conditionally permitted zones may operate until 2am, and can request extension of hours until 6am.

3. ASV's will not be permitted in the Chinatown Community Business District going forward.
